Originally built in 1879, this iconic building stood vacant and condemned until it was rescued from demolition in 2009 with a symbolic $777 bid. What followed was a years-long journey of preservation, passion, and craftsmanship. Reopened in 2014 as a brewpub, the space now honors both its past and the vibrant community that brought it back to life.

Join us for Jingle Jam with Kris Kringle — a cheerful morning filled with wonder, dancing, food, and memories! Parents- let us create the magic with this family tradition that you’ll want to come back for every year!

What to Expect:

Character Welcome: you’ll be welcomed by Little Egypt Barbershop Chorus who will be caroling while you enter. Head Elf will check the list (twice) to ensure your little one has made it.
Hearty Breakfast Buffet – Enjoy a delicious spread of breakfast favorites for kids and grown-ups alike when you arrive.

Dance Party- the elves will lead sing along carols and holiday favorites while your family meets Santa, Elsa, Olaf, and shhhh the Grinch! We promise to get your little one dancing and in on the fun.

Photos – Take photos, share your Christmas wishes with Santa and the gang! There is a special photo area and backdrop setup and time for everyone to take pictures with Santa. There is even a Polaroid photo selfie taken that Santa will sign for a special keepsake!

Goody Bag - each kid will get a goody bag to enjoy during and after the event- including a Polaroid frame to decorate, jingle bells, and a Christmas duck!

How to Play the 12 Beers of Christmas

Jumping into the 12 Beers of Christmas is easy, festive, and all about keeping up each week. Here’s how to play:

1. Show Up to any st. nick location

Starting November 28th, we release 3 new limited Christmas beers each week for 4 weeks. They’re small batch — only one keg per location — and once they kick, they’re gone.

2. Order christmas Beers

To participate, order each Christmas beer in a snifter glass.
No pints, no upgrades, no growler fills! Flights and samples are allowed, but samples do not count toward completing the game.

3. Get Your Card From Your Server

Ask your server to get started. They’ll give you your card and walk you through how the challenge works.
You must start your card in Week 1 to qualify for the mug club prize.

4. Bring Your Card Back and Try All 12 Beers

Your card is your key to the game!
Bring it back each week, try the new beers, and stay on track.
Only snifter purchases count!

Try all 12 beers across all 4 weeks to qualify for the grand prize: A Membership to the St. Nicholas Mug Club

Miss a Beer or Two? Keep Going!!

Don’t stop playing. Incomplete cards will be entered into a drawing, giving you another chance to win a year-long membership to the St. Nicholas Mug Club.

THE ST. NICHOLAS BREWING CO. ORIGIN STORY

Since the 1800s, the St. Nicholas Hotel has been a landmark in Du Quoin, Illinois. After a devastating fire, the owners reconstructed The Hotel in 1879 at its original location at 12 Oak Street. For the next 125 years, The Hotel served the people of Southern Illinois providing rooms, food, drink, and entertainment. Its location, situated near the train station, provided an ideal hub for travelers and residents. 
By 2005, The Hotel was closed for business and abandoned. A piece of Du Quoin history was at great risk of being demolished, but The Hotel was identified as a historic site and the importance of "saving" it was recognized throughout the city. In 2009, renovations began toward the next phase of the building, the St. Nicholas Brewing Company. Years of neglect meant layers of wear had to be removed. The façade has been restored and the building has been structurally reinforced. After years of work, the St. Nick is ready to be a focal point in Du Quoin once more. The St. Nicholas Brewing Company opened its doors in August 2014  as a microbrewery and restaurant. All of our beer is  brewed in house and paired with your favorite pizzas and sandwiches. We are so happy to share our love for craft beer with the rest of Southern Illinois! The owners of the St. Nicholas Brewing Company share a love of beer, bicycles, and great food. Our logo brings the past and the present together. We are committed to creating a fun and unique dining experience, while honoring the history of the St. Nicholas.  We hope you can join us for fun, great food, and great beer.
