St. Nicholas Brewing Company, Du Quoin
Hot poking a beer is an old drinking ritual: you heat a metal poker red-hot and plunge it into a cold beer. The heat caramelizes the beer's leftover sugars, which brings out toasted malt, caramel, and toffee notes and builds a rich, warm, velvety foam head on top. It's equal parts science experiment and campfire tradition.
Join us on the patio around the fire pit and see it (and taste it) for yourself.
Pick your malty beer:
Wee Heavy
Cadence Porter
Oktoberfest
Night Rider Stout
Maibock
$7 for a hot poked 20 oz mug.
Bring a jacket, grab a friend, and watch your beer sizzle.
